Subsidence Bucks
About

A focused enquiry service for one county.

Subsidence Bucks exists for one job: getting Buckinghamshire homeowners through to the right specialist when their property starts moving, cracking or settling unevenly.

Why a single-county service

National lead sites send your details to whoever pays the most that day. The contractor who calls might be eighty miles away and unfamiliar with the ground under your house. In Buckinghamshire that matters more than most counties, because the geology shifts dramatically from north to south.

Aylesbury Vale sits on Gault Clay that shrinks and swells through the seasons. The Chiltern hills around Amersham, Chesham and Wendover are chalk overlain with patches of clay-with-flints. The south Bucks belt around Iver, Burnham and Gerrards Cross is mostly Thames terrace gravels with London Clay underneath. Three different counties, geologically speaking, on one short drive.

How we work

You fill in the form. We pass your details to one or more vetted specialist companies who already work in your postcode. They contact you directly, usually within a working day. There is no obligation, no fee from us, and no ongoing chase if you decide it is not the right time.

We do not carry out the work ourselves and we never have. Any contract for surveys, monitoring, underpinning, resin injection or repair is formed directly between you and the specialist company you choose to engage.

What we look for in a specialist

Real local experience on the kind of ground you have, current public liability insurance, willingness to give an honest opinion when no work is needed, and a track record of dealing politely with insurers and loss adjusters. Specialists who tick those boxes stay on our list. Those who do not, do not.

What we will not do

We will not claim accreditation we do not hold, we will not invent reviews, and we will not pressure anyone into a survey or a repair. If your cracks are cosmetic, the engineer who comes out will tell you so, and that is the end of it.

Subsidence is stressful enough without aggressive sales calls layered on top. The whole point of running a focused, county-only service is being able to keep that pressure out of the process entirely.
